cartoonist, was working as cartoonist on the Brisbane Telegraph in the 1980s:

“Mac Vines of the Telegraph , Brisbane, began as a contributing cartoonist to the Post-Courier , Papua New Guinea, while a school teacher there. Co-author of three books, he syndicates to Queensland provincial newspapers and does a regular feature on TVQ Brisbane” ('Australia’s magnificent cartoonists’, Bulletin 12 November 1985, 108).
