Fimister was a commercial artist who graduated from Perth Technical College in the 1920s. She had studied under A. B. Webb and J. W. R. Linton. In Wise’s Western Australian Post Office Directory 1935-6 she is listed as 'Fimister and Jones and Comel Art Studio Milligan Street, Perth’. Comel Art Studio was still active in 1939. Doreen Jones was a lecturer at the Perth Technical School in the 1940s.
