Arrente/Luritja speaker in her late 40s, Mary Abbott was born c. 1943 at Hermannsburg, where she received European schooling. From there she moved to Alice Springs, where she now lives. She has relatives whom she visits in Papunya. Began painting in 1988 with the Jukurrpa group. Her work is very precise with intricate designs. She paints Honey Ant and Wild Onion Dreamings.
