Born in Hermannsburg in 1948, May Lockyer now lives in Hidden Valley town camp in Alice Springs. Her father was Arrente, her mother Luritja/Pintupi. Since the early ’90s May has been painting the Dreamings she inherited from her father’s family (Green Caterpillar) and from her mother’s family (Honey Ant, Witchetty Grub and Bush Potato). Her paintings have been sold through various galleries in Alice Springs.
