photographic colourist, was employed in the 1860s by Edwin Dalton, Thomas Felton and William Freeman respectively when each was proprietor of the Royal Photographic Gallery, 320 George Street, Sydney. In 1868 an advertisement in the Sydney Morning Herald stated: 'Mr. Freeman (late Freeman Brothers) having purchased the business so long conducted by Mr Dalton… desires to call particular attention to his Tinted and Coloured Cards and highly-finished Miniatures, for the production of which he has secured the services of Miss Hunt, so long and favourably known while in Mr Dalton’s employment’. She was doubtless a relative of Henry Hunt, a proprietor of Dalton’s in 1866-68, and may previously have worked in the Hunt family firms.
