sketcher, exhibited at the Fine Arts Exhibition, Parliament House, Hobart in 1887: 'The next three numbers represent Tasmanian coast scenes by Miss M. Bisdee, which are true to nature and well coloured, but there are faults in the drawing, and the finish of the foreground in two of the pictures is defective’ (Mercury 16 February 1887, 3).
