Robbio was the official artist on the Russian ship Bogatyr which was in Melbourne and Sydney in 1863. He and the other officers were received at Government House, Sydney, but Robbio was especially favoured by "a friendly note" from the Governor's lady, Lady Young.
sketcher, was the official artist aboard the Russian ship Bogatyr which visited Melbourne and Sydney in 1863 under the command of Admiral Popov. Pavel Mukhanov, a midshipman in the Bogatyr, later wrote that the officers received invitations to a reception at Government House, Sydney, and that 'Our artist, Robbio, also received a friendly note from the Governor’s lady [Lady Young], and took his sketch-book with him’.
