Robert Haines

Robert Haines was a progressive curator in mid-century Australia. He managed the David Jones Art Gallery in Sydney (during WWII?), and became Curator at the National Gallery of Victoria where he encouraged the acquisition of leading furniture-maker and designer Schulim Krimper. Haines finished his career as Deputy Director of the Queensland Art Gallery.
