Sohan Hayes is a Perth-based artist whose practice has spanned kinetic sculpture, performance, video, installation, sound art and animation. He has a degree in Fine Art at the University of Western Australia, Perth, which he completed in 1997. In the early 2000s, in association with Awesome Children’s Festival regional program, Hayes travelled to communities around Western Australia, working with young people to create special events and artworks. Along with Marcus Canning, Hayes designed and constructed SymbioticA Central Laboratory 'PC2’, which was premiered at the 'Biofeel’ exhibition at the 2002 Biennale of Electronic Arts Perth (BEAP).
