Stephen Garrett, born in Newcastle NSW is a sculptor working across a range of media using video, direct action, architectural intervention and drawing. He won the Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarship the year he graduated art school allowing him to live for a year in Vietnam and China. He is an academic and the head of Drawing at Monash University in the Faculty of Art Design and Architecture.
