cartoonist, writer and art dealer, worked as a freelance newspaper cartoonist in the 1970s, eg [two cops and prisoner in convict suit] '“This one’s in for assault!”/ “Oh, I like a good assault!”’ Review (later Nation Review ) 6 August 1971 (ill. Christine Dixon). See also Walsh 1993, 39 & 177. Contributed to Overland in the 1970s; wrote and illustrated a monster book (Anika Annels’s Xmas present 1997). Invented a new sort of art-historical writing for Australia in A Small Unsigned Painting (1998) and The National Picture (2002).
