Burgess's drawings are held in the Western Australian Museum. One signature - 'T.M. Burgess/ Noarlunga' - is the only evidence, however, that these works were actually executed in Australia.
sketcher, drew pencil drawings in an unidentified album (WA Museum) which are apparently English drawing-book copies: old mills, sheds with thatched roofs, a thatched cottage and a pair of two-storeyed wooden houses. A view of an old gate and fence is signed 'T.M. Burgess/ Noarlunga’, the only indication that the drawings were executed in Western Australia. There are some lively ink cartoons of animals by an anonymous artist, the only other contributor to the album who signed any work being Ada Lashbrooke .
