Anmatyerre artist and senior member of the Mt Allan community (NT), Briscoe lives on his outstation an hour's drive away at Pulardi, a Dingo Dreaming site. His work is in Australian and international art collections.
Born in 1943 of the Anmatyerre tribe, Teddy Briscoe is one of the senior initiated men at Mt Allan. His country is Mt Allan/Napperby. His Dreamings include Dingo, Kangaroo, Women’s and Grass Seed. He and his son, Michael Ross Jangala , both live on Teddy’s outstation, one hour’s drive to the east of Mt Allan at Pulardi, a Dingo Dreaming site. Though an occasional painter, he has work in collections both in Australia and overseas.
