Born In McLaren Vale, SA, Thomas Hoareau is nevertheless strongly associated with Western Australian figurative painting.

Educated in Fine Arts at Curtin University of Technology and the University of Western Australia, Hoareau has featured in many seminal exhibition on western australian paintings and was associated with the Perth Oddfellows. His work in collected in the National Gallery of Australia and the Art Gallery of Western Australia.
