Tony Bishop has exhibited sculpture and drawing since 1965, participating in many Australian sculpture triennials, prizes and surveys. He is a past Board Member of various arts organisations, including the Art Gallery of South Australia (1971-1981). His work 'Chuffing around', 1990, a series of 14 individually carved black birds arranged in a circle, was acquired by AGSA and is a highlight of their Australian art collection.
