Vicki Varvaressos is a Sydney based artist whose early work was influenced by the urban activism of Victoria street, in Sydney's Wooloomooloo. Her distinctive painterly style came to characterise new wave feminism of the 1970s. Later her style evolved into a painterly abstraction as well as meditative portraits.
