sketcher, was living at 170 Lygon Street, Carlton in 1866 when he entered a crayon drawing in the Melbourne Intercolonial Exhibition. At the 1869 Melbourne Public Library Exhibition he showed two freehand studies and a sketch called Laying down the Law.
The River Yarra near Templestowe (not dated, oil on canvas, Leonard Joel November 1980), signed W. Stevenson, is possibly a later work by the same artist.
