A Warlpiri speaker, and daughter of Bessie and Paddy Sims, Wendy Nungarrayi Sims lives in Yuendumu. She paints Ngalkirdi (Witchetty Grub), Wanakiji (Bush Plum) and Yanjylpiri (Star) Dreamings. Her work was included in Yuendumu: Paintings out of the Desert at the South Australian Museum in 1988 and the Womens Exhibition at the Women’s Gallery in Melbourne in 1990 and in 1992 at Warlukurlangu Artists’ exhibitions in Melbourne, Hobart and Sydney.
