Yelena Dyumin is an artist and teacher. She was born and raised in Omsk, a Russian town in the middle of Siberia, full of history and known for its active arts community. In 2005 Dyumin moved to Sydney, NSW.

In her work she seeks to explore human beings’ connection to the material world. Dyumin uses range of media including etching, lithography, xylography, drawing and painting (oils, acrylics and watercolours).

Dyumin graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting) with First Class Honours in 1982 (State University, Omsk, Russia). Between 1983 and 1997 she was a lecturer in Fine Arts (painting, graphics, art history and theory) at the State University, Omsk, Russia. Dyumin is a former member of the Russian Academy of Arts and the Russian Association of Painters and Sculptors.

She holds tightly and dearly on to her roots. For the past fifteen years, she has participated in a number of exhibitions in Russia. Dyumin also exhibits in Australia. In her work she aims to convey a sense of harmony and beauty.

In 2011 the artist was living in Sydney, NSW.
