McIntosh, a member of the Advisory Committee, Sydney Technical College was responsible for commemorative-scale public sculptures in NSW and QLD, for the Sydney Technical College, the Double Bay War Memorial figure, Queen Victoria Building, Sydney, Government Printer's Office and Lands Administration Building, Brisbane, a sculptural group for the (Old) Parliament House, Canberra and others. Macintosh worked in bronze and stone.
