Biography

Amarie Bergman formulates and makes reductive art. “She likes clean lines (most of the time) and dramatic space, merging design elements into a minimalist’s ethos to produce a graphic style of work.” (Michael Shandrick)

Born in Edmonton, northern Canada, Amarie has been exhibiting art since 1980. Her works are featured in corporate and private collections. Thirteen solo shows -in Sydney, Launceston, Melbourne, Alice Springs and Paris - have taken place in the past 15 years:

Amarie was associated via Artsy with Alfa Gallery, Miami and New York, 2022-2024, and also was a contributing writer for the New York based publication, Whitehot Magazine of Contemporary Art.

She presently lives/works in Bunbury, Australia.
