Biography

Design historian - main focus on history of manufactured furniture and history of global trade in furniture. From 1996 to 2001, Curator of Canadian Decorative Arts, and Curator of Post-1900 International Design at Royal Ontario Museum. Taught furniture history in Architecture Faculty at University of Toronto 1989 to 2001. Author: Modern Furniture in Canada 1920 to 1970 (University of Toronto Press 1996). 2017 PhD thesis on global history of bentwood furniture industry online at University of Technology Sydney Library.
