professional photographer, visited Queanbeyan, New South Wales, from 30 March to 10 June 1868 and took portrait photographs from a temporary studio set up in William Hunt’s Elmsall Inn, Trinculo Place. While he was there Robert Baxter and Alexander McDonald turned up to take photographs too, an indication of the number of travelling photographers around by this time. Leibinger was working in Hunter Street, Newcastle, by 1879 and remained there until 1884. Then he was listed at various Sydney addresses until 1895.
