Cinday Laws is a member of the Boorooberongal and Darkinjung people of NSW. She makes use of natural earth pigments, fabric and acrylic paints in her stylised animal and spirit paintings, some of which involve an image being carved into the pigment. Laws has also written and illustrated two children’s books based on Dreaming narratives: Kootear the Echidna and Wargan the Crow . In 2007 she was a finalist in the Parliament of NSW Indigenous Art Prize.
