Description

Exhibition drew together western materials and traditional Chinese calligraphic forms, paintings, ink drawings, calligraphic symbols made from chenille sticks, a video, and an installation concerning the foot binding of women. Addressing textuality, her paintings crossed the border between cartoons, graffiti and traditional Chinese illustration, thus melding disparate artistic forms, communication methods, myths and cultural traditions.
