botanical painter, painted two watercolours of flowers now in the Customs House Museum, Goondiwindi, Queensland. They are inscribed verso: 'painted by Miss Fitzgerald in 1846, a cousin of great-grandmother Margaret Young of “Umbercothie” Goondiwindi…She was lost at sea when Barque “Cospatrick” burnt at sea and all lives lost. She was returning to Ireland’.
