cartoonist, came from WA to Victoria. Two satiric, lively and scratchy line drawings by 'Bill Martin of Victoria’ are illustrated in 'The Satiric in Art’ issue of The Australian Artist 2/2 (Winter 1949): Five men in a pub (34) and Two Figures [old men] (43). Martin went to England in 1953, where he began working for the Sunday Express . Jensen (14) says he was 'conservative’ in approach and 'suspicious of people who grab at trendy attitudes’.
