Mid 20th century Western Australian cartoonist who worked in Victoria and England. John Jensen says he was 'conservative' in approach and 'suspicious of people who grab at trendy attitudes'.
cartoonist, came from WA to Victoria. Two satiric, lively and scratchy line drawings by 'Bill Martin of Victoria’ are illustrated in 'The Satiric in Art’ issue of The Australian Artist 2/2 (Winter 1949): Five men in a pub (34) and Two Figures [old men] (43). Martin went to England in 1953, where he began working for the Sunday Express . Jensen (14) says he was 'conservative’ in approach and 'suspicious of people who grab at trendy attitudes’.
